Public spaces between resonance and affordance

Annual meeting: Swiss Geoscience Meeting, ‘Symposium 26: Human Geographies: Cities, Regions, Economies’, Lausanne, 17–20 November 2022

This presentation integrates Rosa’s theory of resonance with concepts of affordance theory to better understand the relationship between bottom-up practices of ‘making’ and the built environment. The insights presented illustrate the relevance of such practices to planning professionals and, when applied, allow for conclusions on reflective planning.
