Activation of 1950–1976 housing projects: Retrofitting within the fragile context of the inland Marche region
Congress: Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP), ‘Space for Species: Redefining Spatial Justice’, Tartu, 28 July 2022
Within the special session ‘Dynamics of Cultural and Social Innovation in Contemporary City Development’, (organizers: Federica Scaffidi, Luca Tricarico, Gaia Daldanise), the presentation focused on obsolete housing projects from 1950 to the mid-1970s located in the inland Marche region (IT). The observations presented illustrated the potential of architectural transformation to boost the economic and social innovation of peripheral and marginalized towns.
