Thilo van der Haegen

Before coming to Hamburg to pursue a dissertation within the DFG research training group ‘Urban future-making: Professional agency across time and scale’, Thilo van der Haegen studied human geography at the University of Zurich. He graduated with a master’s degree and a thesis on the discursive landscape of mining in the Canadian Arctic. Before focusing on human geography, Thilo initially started his intellectual journey in Basel, where he studied history and geography for his bachelor’s degree.
