Julia Sievert is a doctoral researcher at the Institute for Transport Planning and Logistics at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and member of the DFG research training group ‘Urban Future-Making’. She is interested in processes and policies involved in the transformation of already built-up urban spaces into more socially and environmentally sustainable places. She holds an master of science in resource efficiency in architecture and planning from HafenCity University and a bachelor of arts in environmental studies from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, USA. Before starting her current position, she worked as a research associate for 3 years at HafenCity University in the Digital City Science Research Group.
