Lucas Caluori has been a PhD candidate at the University of Hamburg and part of the DFG research training group ‘Urban future-making’ since 2025. Prior to this, he served as a project coordinator at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) within the project Smart Region Central Switzerland and held research positions at ETH Zurich Wohnforum – CASE (Centre for Research on Architecture, Society & the Built Environment) as well as at the University of Zurich. He obtained his master’s degree in sociology and philosophy from the University of Lucerne in 2022, following a bachelor’s degree in social and communication sciences and a vocational training as a draftsperson in architectural design. His research interests lie at the intersection of architectural sociology and visual sociology, with a particular focus on AI-generated images in architecture, as well as on urban and housing research.
