Soziologie der Mobilität

Mobility is one of the key features of the social. Human life, communities, and societies are always characterized by movement through geographical space. But (im)material things are also mobile. In this book, I introduce sociological research on mobility and follow the mobilities paradigm. After presenting sociological lines of tradition, various objects of this research strand are introduced, such as the causes of transport, transport practices, multilocal forms of living, migration, tourism, and travel, as well as the mobilities of goods and things.
